I can't believe it's Thursday. This week has gone by so fast, yet so slow. B. comes home tomorrow! He doesn't know if they'll be released at 5:00pm or at 8:30pm like it has been during the week. The cell reception in his room was really bad tonight. It took a long time to connect through FaceTime and even then we could only see if for a few seconds at a time. We finally gave up on FaceTime and just talked on the phone. I could actually hear him when it was just a phone call. I'm really excited to see him tomorrow night. He'll be home for a little under 48 hours. The plan is for him to leave on Sunday after dinner, so he has some time to get ready for the week ahead.
I went to #1's Back to School Night. In hindsight, I really should have left #1 at home. I couldn't pay attention to what her teacher was saying. I wanted to speak to her after her presentation, but #1 darted out of the room and ran out to the playground. I was not a happy camper after she did that. #1 cried all the back to the car. She didn't want to leave school She loves school and seems to be doing really well. She's the youngest student in her class by three months.
#2 got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa while we were at #1's school. Times like this makes me wish we lived closer to them. They don't mind driving the 30 minutes to our house. I love where we live now, but there are definitely plans in the future to make a move to another city.
It looks like I'll actually go to sleep before midnight tonight. TGIF!
